Help! how to use milk facial cleanser?
i have very dry skin and i am trying all sorts of product that will help me so my wrinkles will also lessen. My face is clear and smooth before but because i am in UAE, the weather and water here made my skin so dry that i developed wrinkles under my eyes, and whenever i smile, it shows. I am so disturbed. i bought olay milk facial cleanser and want to try if it will work on my dry face. Problem is, i don’t know how to use it. It says there, massage on face and remove with dry or damp cotton wool. Sorry i have not tried like this before. Does it mean i have to apply an amount of olay milk cleanser on my face then massage, then remove with cotton or tissue? but whenever i do that it dries by itself so there is no way i could remove anything anymore. Do i still need to rinse? it says there follow with toner and moisturizer. I dont need to rinse with water and i can put any moisturizer?
Please tell me how and if olay 7 signs of aging milk cleanser is okay and i hear revitol is okay for wrinkles. Thank you.

Hi I’m a beauty therapist and can help you out here
first of all olay is an ok brand but if you want a brand with active ingredients (as in they really work) I have found out of all the different products that I have worked with dermalogica is the best, you would suit the dry skin product range or the age smart (this is a special anti-aging range that should suit you) you can buy a travel size pack of the range so you can really see if it suits you will out spending too much. You can buy it only at a beauty salon or on eBay.
as to using a milk cleanser you can either add some water to it (approx 1tsp) or use it as is. apply to the face in circular movements then was off with warm water then repeat. do this twice a day every dad and finish off with toner and moisturiser. cleanser always needs to be removed with water after it has been applied to the skin. also try drinking more water this will help the skin from the inside. hope this helps you
I haven’t tried that particular brand, but it sounds like the Jurlique balancing cleansing lotion I have (which you would *love* without doubt, but it is $40 a bottle… lasts forever, but still…)…
Imagine it’s half lotion and half soap when you apply it. You spread it like a lotion, but scrub it a little like a soap. Get some warm, wet cotton balls and just wipe your face. You’ll see a lot of makeup on the cotton balls. It works like cold cream, if you’ve used that. Which also means… You use this sort of thing mostly to remove foundation and whatnot. You may want to find another gentle cleanser to follow-up to clean up under the makeup. If you don’t do that, yes, I would splash water on my face and rinse it off a bit more, but not too much, so it retains some of the moisturizing effects.
I use Jurlique cleansing lotion, followed by their balancing foaming cleanser… It’s awesome for dry skin. I personally don’t use Olay because my skin always had a poor reaction to it, but it may work like a charm for you.
You can probably follow with any moisturizer, it wouldn’t make a difference to what cleanser you use. If your skin is irritated and dry, I would try Atopalm (skinstore.com) or maybe Clinique moisture surge. They’re all pricey, but cheap stuff just isn’t the same……….
